Greetings from Bethany International Ministries! Bethany is engaged in taking the Church from where it exists to where it does not exist. Our missionaries are actively working to establish communities of disciples and to mobilize the national church to do the same, with a focus toward the least reached peoples of the world. We value partnership with the national church and with other organizations recognizing that collaboration will result in greater effectiveness for all of us.
Tim and Chrissy Kelly are missionary appointees with Bethany. Tim and Chrissy have been involved in short-term missions in Kenya for the past nine years and recently responded to an invitation to join the Bethany team in Nairobi in late summer, 2013. Initially, Tim and Chrissy will focus on learning language and culture while settling their family into their new home. They will have opportunity to minister in Nairobi, visit unreached areas in NE Kenya, and assist in facilitating Bethany programs, missionaries and short-term teams. We have a team of eight missionaries in Kenya working in various ministry activities to plant the church and mobilize the national church. We also have a Global Internship site there with the purpose of training interns from Bethany College of Missions (BCOM). Bethany missionaries serve as mentors/leaders for these missionaries-in-training. Our vision in this region is to reach into unreached people groups, joining with the national church, to make Christ known and see transformation in the lives of individuals and communities.
Along with Tim and Chrissy, we eagerly anticipate all that God has planned for them in Kenya. They bring dedicated commitment to Christ, a depth of ministry experience, and a wealth of life experience to the team. We greatly appreciated the skills, insight and perspective that both Tim and Chrissy offer to others. We believe they will continue to invest well in relationships on the field which will lead to lasting impact and fruit in ministry.
Currently, Tim and Chrissy are working to raise up a team for both financial and prayer support as they prepare their family for this assignment. They are in need of regular, monthly donors who recognize the value of Bethany’s ministry and the role they play as they are dedicated fully to the Lord’s plans and purposes in their lives. We highly recommend Tim and Chrissy as you prayerfully consider what role you might play in partnering in the ministry God has called them to. Thank you for considering this request.
